The hidden gem of the music world!! They've been around since the early 80's. I have had these beauties for around 3 weeks now and i am loving them! The clarity of the treble and mids and the accurate bass are a joy to mine ears! Seriously, if you are packing stock ipod headphones get a pair of portas, you will never look back.
I previously owned a pair of grado sr 125's (£125) and the portas are comparible with them quality wise. One thing to keep in mind is that these are open phones and aren't really suitable for public transport etc. I use them in the house for everything though.
